Why Cambridge dancers make the trip

Kollective Studios is a downtown Kitchener dance and fitness studio built around adults, students, young professionals, and total beginners. Students come from Cambridge for the range of styles we offer, since it's not always easy to find heels, dancehall, twerk, or burlesque classes closer to home.

Classes stay small, typically 8–14 people, so you get real attention from the instructor instead of getting lost in a crowd. Drop-in classes mean you can come when your week allows, no long-term contract and no experience required to walk in.

Whether you're chasing the music-video choreography you've been replaying, want to feel powerful in heels, or just need an hour that isn't your commute or your inbox, this is a room that's genuinely glad you showed up.

What students say

The first thing I noticed about classes at Kollective was how welcoming of an atmosphere Kezea created. At my previous dance studios it felt like nobody really cared, but at Kollective if I'm not there people will notice (in a good way!). It's a wonderful safe space from all the toxicity and competition often found in other studios.

When I first joined her heels class, I had very little experience with this style of dance and was honestly quite nervous. However, Kezea created such an empowering environment, that I found myself growing more confident with each session. Kezea always pushed us, not with the focus of perfecting her own choreography, but for us to realize our own potential. Her motivation and encouragement not only transformed me into a better dancer, but also fostered a level of confidence within me that I had never experienced before. I’m so excited to keep learning from her at Kollective Khaos. And if you’re reading this, feeling hesitant to try something new: take the leap. Kezea will show you that you are more capable than you think, and I promise you won’t regret it.
